Video Ad Company Jivox Gets $8.2 Mn In Funds

Video ad Technology company Jivox has received USD 8.2 Million to bring its technology to multiple screens and support rapid adoption of its interactive video advertising technology. Fortisure Ventures led the second funding round and existing investors Opus Capital, Helion Advisors and Diaz Nesamoney too participated, though the exact quantum of each is unknown. Additionally, Mani Subramanian, CEO of Fortisure Ventures and John Squires, CEO of Akademos will join Jivox’s Board of Directors. Helion & Opus had earlier pumped in USD 4Mn. Jivox has perfected a platform for advertisers to create highly interactive ads that can easily be embedded across videos on a number of devices and ad platforms. An ad can be created & posted online within 3 Hours! Ads powered by Jivox can include a number of buttons or widgets that are basically layered on top of the video, which users can click to share on social networks, embed ads in their own sites, request information by email or text message, or visit the advertiser’s site. Advertisers can also create custom ads, like virtual tour, directions to the nearest store, request a quote or enter a contest to win a discount on a product. So, theoretically,  Geo Location & GPS embedded devices could advertise a fast-food restaurant nearby to your location! Jivox offers multiple choices for embedding the ads,  in the video banner, a full page mouse-over or as in-stream ads with an interactive side panel. They are also available both as Flash-based web ads and as HTML5 ads that can run on mobile devices like the iPhone,  iPad or Android devices. During the budget session Jivox also tied up with IBNLive for their video ads the main reason behind this tied up was gathering attention form all the advertisers. Thus, Jivox certainly offers flexibility for advertisers who want to serve interactive ads to multiple devices at the same time. Digital advertising network Komli Media will be the exclusive licensee of the Jivox Interactive Video platform in the Asia-Pacific region. Could this result in advertisements clogging up your videos?
