Twitter Boosts Web Embeds And Introduces Age Screening Feature For Brands

Twitter has announced a more richer version of its web embeds feature. Twitter first launched tweet embeds last year and this improved version shows more content especially images, songs and videos. This features spreads Twitter’s functionality all over the web and the blogosphere, depending on the CMS you use.  Important tweets can now be embedded without the need for separate attribution or cause to leave the existing webpage to view it. Twitter has also made it simpler to access the embed feature by placing it in the ‘more’ section of every tweet. Tweetdeck will also allow this functionality. It is good to see that Twitter is paying attention to Tweetdeck since the service has largely been neglected. Age Screening for brands: If you go to , you will see that Twitter has partnered with Buddy Media to implement complementary age screening for brands on their Twitter properties. This feature is targeted towards brands which have sensitive content which would not be good for underage people. These young people will not be able to follow these brands. Alcohol companies in India should take note of this and thus promote their brands responsibly by using this. That being said, it is still not clear whether this service has been rolled out for Indian brands yet.
