Microsoft Outlook To Land On Windows RT Tablets

Microsoft  confirms  Outlook 2013 app will arrive for Windows RT with the launch of Windows 8.1 later this year. The app will feature all the Outlook functionality but with a simplified interface ideal for devices running Windows RT. “ We’re always listening to our customers and one piece of feedback was that people want the power of Outlook on all their Windows PCs and tablets.  In fact, a Morgan Stanley research study found that 61% of people shopping for tablets consider Microsoft Office to be the single most important software feature.  We’re pleased to have Outlook 2013 RT join the other best-in-class Office 2013 RT applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote “, wrote Microsoft in a company blog. Microsoft promises a much better, streamlined experience with its newest version of Outlook, claiming that users will be able to easily reduce the clutter. Outlook 2013 makes you a “content king,” according to the company. Like the other Office apps within Office RT, Microsoft said that Outlook has been reworked for touch, including the ability to author inline replies and to “peek” at emails and contacts by hovering over them. The software giant also stated that Outlook 2013 will be available soon across not only Windows tablets, but also phones and PC. Windows 8 has done really well  with 100 million Windows licenses since its launch  . Also,   Outlook has become popular with revamp, Skype and Google Talk integration.  Now, the company is gearing up for Windows Blue  the upcoming successor to Windows 8 which will release later this year.
