Dhingana Rolls Out ‘Dhingana Gold’ An Ad-free Paid Subscription On iOS

In a move to enhance its monetization model, music streaming service Dhingana has launched  its premium service for the iOS platform. Dubbed as ‘Dhingana Gold’, the service will enable ad-free HD streaming with unlimited offline streaming of music for iOS subscribers at $1.99 a month. The app also allows users to include premium features ability to download and sync unlimited songs, access to streaming music in high-definition quality up to 320 kbps and sync downloads across up to two devices. Rohit Bhatia, CEO of Dhingana, commented, “When conceptualizing Gold subscription service, we wanted our customers to enjoy a truly premium experience. We believe Gold does just that. It provides an enhanced experience like no other with an industry first unlimited download of entire playlists, albums and/or individual songs.” Users get a 15-day free trial of the premium service. Dhingana Gold subscribers can also access to exclusive content restricted for premium users.They can also access music offline which is helpful for users with limited data plans on their mobile phones. This is not the first time that a music streaming service has launched an ad free subscription model. Gaana and Saavn had also rolled out their premium services for $2.99 a month and$3.99 a month in April and February this year respectively. Compared to this  Dhingana’s service is priced lowest at $1.99. Dhingana  introduced  video ads to its iOS app and plans to bring the same to Android. Dhingana app which has been downloaded over  3.5 million  times, offers more than 500,000 songs across 35 languages and claims a monthly active user base of more than 15 million. Currently, Dhingana is the only service which has an app for every Mobile Operating System (OS) including iPhone, Android, BlackBerry, and even the ageing, proprietary Nokia Phone OS.
