Trendspotters.TV , the unique initiative that is trying to work towards keeping a tab on emerging trends, has progressed & come up with its own mobile apps for the iOS & Android platform.   Touted to be India’s first online digital channel , Trendspotters.tv, has been launched on the iOS app store. What it essentially means is that its subscribers, who were restricted to accessing only the web-optimized version, can now access the same multimedia content over their smartphones. Trendspotters has been around since August of this year. Though it wasn’t launched with much fanfare, the response to the platform seems to be encouraging enough for the company to come-up with apps that essentially push the same content, albeit in a mobile friendly interface. What is Trendspotter offering? Back when it was launched, it was meant to be an internet based reporting platform that was supposed to make consumers, shoppers & the internet audience in general, aware of emerging trends. It appeared to be an aggregative or collative service that scoured the physical as well as digital worlds to hunt & spot possible trends that displayed the potential to go viral. Interestingly, Trendspotters is category agnostic . This means that the portal covers various topics that include, tech, fashion, food and almost all the activities that fashion conscious youth of today desires to know, but do not have the time or resources to experiment on. Coming up with a mobile app seems to have become a trend among websites & content publishers . However, anyone using Trendspotters is sure to appreciate the app for their simplicity & organized layout that offers quick navigation to the desired topic of interest. Additionally, the application is equipped with ‘Push Notification’ which doesn’t necessitate constantly refreshing the app to check if anything new has been uploaded. Mobile apps that offer fashion & related information certainly have a surging demographic owing to their simplicity & speed of dissipation of information.
