TimesJobs a Times Group initiative has just re-launched their portal in a revamped design. We visited the site for a quick review & were pleasantly surprised with the efforts. The new design has surely been built with one thing in mind. Simplicity. As compared to the earlier version, the new avatar of the site offers navigation through tabbed browsing which is a very common feature in the popular browsers . Amit Jain, VP, TimesJobs is optimistic as he says, “ A host of features give job-seekers a clutter free home page experience with intuitive navigation and faster downloads. We hope these improvements encourage job-seekers to fine tune their resumes, enhance their job-search and apply to corporate that are in high demand ” A new “floating” tab akin to a scrolling advertisement is anything but. According to the site designers, the tab should offer critical navigation options that offer ease of job search to both logged-in and unregistered users. While logged-in we saw the hovering tab links to personalized page of the Timesjobs. The site now also has a omnipresent Login form at the top-right corner. Oddly enough, once you login through this, we simply could not logout, no matter how many times we clicked “Logout”! Guess, TimesJobs wants us logged-in always! They are giving what the subscribers demands reveals Amit, “ Our research showed that the above data fields are critical to a job seekers success in finding a matching job, and having them put succinctly in a single box makes it very easy to access ”. The site also seems to be optimized for speeds as we did witness better load times.
