Maruti A-Star facelift arrives with a price of Rs. 3.66 lakh

India’s largest car market, Maruti India is provided its small car, Maruti A-star a mid-life facelift. Originally, Maruti A-star was launched a few years of ago and didn’t receive the kind of response that the company expected. But now, to save it from losses, Maruti Suzuki has provided this small car a much needed facelift that would boost up the sales of Maruti A-star a notch higher. The 2012 Maruti A-Star has been sprinkled with improved interiors, whereas exteriors have been left untouched. The brand new Maruti A-Star has got full new upholstery along with new front head restraints that has been added. The car also gets the much required air bags and ABS as an option accompanied with the very remarkable alloy wheels. The individual gold rear seats now come with a 50-50 split fold and could be now utilized judiciously for fitting in more luggage in the boot. Glistening Grey and Caffeine Brown are the new shaded that has been added to Maruti A-star color range. Under the hood, Maruti A-star has the same 1.3 litre three cylinder K series petrol motor that produced 67 PS of peak power at 6200 rpm along with generating 90 Nm of peak torque at 3500 rpm. The engine has been smartly coupled with 5 speed manual and four speed automatic transmission. The new 2012 Maruti A-Star is now offered in three trims. The base model or the LXi trim of 2012 Maruti A-Star comes with a decent price tag of Rs. 3.66, whereas the jam-packed VXi trim comes for Rs. 3.97 lakh. The VXi trim powered with 4 speed automatic transmission cost about Rs.4.47 lakh while the Maruti A-Star price (ZXi automatic version) comes out to be Rs. 4.47 lakh. The optional variant, which is accompanied with ABS and airbags on VXi variant, has a price tag of Rs. 4.40 lakh.

Maruti to name R3 as Ertiga

Maruti Suzuki India is the largest car manufacturer in India.
