It seems Google is in an acquisition hangover as it takes over Zave Networks (platform for digital coupons and incentives). Lately, Google also bought Motorola . Zave Network’s is the 19th buy for Google this 2011 and shows how cash rich they are. This spree will continue as companies are more than willing to join the Googlesphere. The official website for Zave Networks exclaims, “ We are delighted to share that Zave Networks has been acquired by Google. When we had the opportunity to join Google, we felt it was the perfect fit for our company and the perfect opportunity to rapidly drive the deployment and use of our platform to the next level ”. Google has been trying its hands on discount and coupons domain lately. In 2010 Google tried to acquire Groupon at $6 billion dollars, but Groupon had declined the offer outright. So Google started its own Google Offers. This deal with Zave is another shot to hit the e-commerce space. Google spokesperson says, “ We’re thrilled to welcome the Zave Networks team to Google. They have developed an impressive platform to connect consumers with coupons, special offers and reward programs for their favorite businesses .” However we are still yet to know the financial details. Hope Google is planning something more for every week now!
